Finding a Cure for Panic Attacks

There are three phases you need to go through in order to find an effective cure for panic attacks. We will be covering each phase in more detail below.

First, you must accept your condition as real. You cannot effectively find a cure for panic attacks, if you are not able to recognize that you indeed have a problem.

The second phase is to gain knowledge about the condition.  In order to effectively combat your condition you must fully understand it.

The third and probably most important is the creation of an action plan.  How are you going to combat your Anxiety/Panic attacks?  There are many different approaches that can be taken. A person can only be helped with the second and third stages. The individual experiencing the panic attacks is the only person that can handle the first stage.

Acceptance

The fact that you are reading this is a very good indication that you have accepted the fact that you are suffering from some form of anxiety/panic disorder and are indeed searching for a cure for panic attacks.  Often times the earlier you recognize the situation and take action, the easier the cure.  You must accept these attacks as real. The longer you wait to take action the worse the phobia gets.  Once you have your first panic attack, your biggest fear will always be of having yet another attack. You will always be afraid of:

  • Where will I be?
  • What will people think?
  • Will I embarrass myself or my loved ones?
  • Will I be able to get out of this situation?

It is often times very difficult to admit to a problem. You must understand that there is nothing to be ashamed of. You're no different than that person that suffers from allergies, nearsightedness, or dandruff. There are cures or relief for their conditions just as there is a cure for panic attacks. Do you realize that nearly 5% of the world population suffers from some sort of anxiety/panic disorder? That's 5 out of every 100 people see at the mall or workplace everyday. You are not alone in this fight. In order to effectively find a cure for panic attacks, you must accept your condition and have a positive attitude in defeating it.

Knowledge

The second phase in the finding a cure for panic attacks is the gathering of knowledge.  In order to effectively combat your phobia, you need to fully and completely understand it. The more you know and understand your condition the easier it will be to find a treatment method.

Action Plan

The third and final stage in finding a cure for panic attacks is to formulate an action plan. This is probably the most critical and difficult phase. There are many options available and you will have to make some choices.  There are several key elements that must be part of your plan:

  • It must be a simple plan. One that you can use on an everyday basis. One that doesn't dominate your everyday life. It cannot be overly complicated or confusing.
  • It must be a workable plan. By this I mean; it must be a plan that fits your personality, as well as one you'll be able adhere to.  There are several different approaches for different types of disorders and personalities.
  • It must be cost effective.  Nobody wants to invest in something they are not sure is going to work for them.
  • It must have a strong support system.  This is going to be the toughest fight of your life. You are going to need a strong support mechanism.
Conclusion

If all three phases of these phases are followed, you will be able to find an effective cure for panic attacks. There are many options on the market and you must find the one that meets your individual needs.
