Welcome to the Healthy Alternative/Panic Attacks web site. Those of us that have contributed to this web site have all suffered through some sort of panic attacks at various times in our lives. We come all from different walks of life, age groups and social backgrounds. We all have one common thread; we've either cured, or controlled, our panic/anxiety attacks. We have decided to pool our knowledge and experiences to help others do the same. Our goal is to help each and every individual that come to this site find a cure for their condition. Each of us has tried different approaches and each of us has suffered several setbacks and failures. We know what you're feeling and what it took to rid ourselves of this condition. Believe me when I tell you there is no silver bullet. Anyone telling you that it's going to be easy, is merely scamming you. They've obviously never fought the fight, nor felt the pain. It is going to take a lot of hard work, dedication, and pure determination, depending on the stage of your condition, to rid yourself of your panic/anxiety attacks. Don't be fooled into thinking you can read a book in one sitting and get instant results. You have to apply what you learn and if you've had anxiety for many years this may take some time.
Ridding yourself of this condition is much like a boxing match. You will be knocked down, probably several times. You are going to have to dig deep down, get off the canvas and continue the fight. We believe that there are three phases to the elimination of panic/anxiety attacks. We will be covering each phase in more detail below. The first phase is acceptance. You must accept your condition. You cannot be cured if you don't recognize you have a problem. The second phase is to gain knowledge about the condition. In order to effectively combat your condition, you must understand it. The third and probably most important is the creation of an action plan. How are you going to combat your Anxiety/Panic attacks? There are many different approaches that can be taken. You will be given several choices and recommendations. We at Healthy Alternative are only able to help you with the second and third stages. You will have to handle the first stage.
Acceptance
The fact that you are reading this is a very good indication that you have accepted the fact that you are suffering from some form of anxiety/panic disorder. Often times the earlier you recognize the disorder and take action, the easier the cure. You must accept these attacks as real. The longer you wait to take action; the worse the phobia gets. Action Plan
The third, and final stage in overcoming your anxiety/panic disorder is to formulate an action plan. This is probably the most critical and difficult phase. There are many options available and you will have to make some choices. The most important thing is that you choose one and get started.
